The grey ground allows the subtle, silvery tones of the 23 carat Gold Caplain to dance in the light. These materials in combination with a lively line create a sense of movement which enhances the qualities of the looking glass.

In the example illustrated, wild hops scramble upwards, providing a foil for glittering butterflies, moths and dragonflies. A lizard scurries through the undergrowth. Sinuous climbing plants are entwined with foliage to crown the mirror with a canopy of tumbling leaves and flowers.
